had a fanfuckintastic weekend. headed down south to mandurah to sijie's place. went with bunch of my friends from hall. we went crabbing, which is just trying to catch crabs with nets. and went to a crab fest there. it was hella fun. and sijie has a great place down there.

wot a night i had.
we all met up to celebrate adrian's birthday.
this is the main gateway to what i presume is the chinatown area in perth. hopefully from the following photos you can see the sheer magnitude of the place. oh and i'm taking this from the inside of chinatown. chinatown doesn't have a road through it.
and as i turn around i get this view. see this lane. ok you can see the end of it. at the end is just a right turn and it links to the opposite of chinatown. which is another similar lane like this. also lined with eateries. the whole place is wide as maybe two of the main gateway that you see in the first picture put side to side. yes that's how huge chinatown is. it is what you would call quaint and cosy. in other words, ridiculously small. behind those two cold girls (it wasn't that cold) are the guys waiting to get in the restaurant. oh and it isn't really that bright at night in chinatown. i was just fooling around with the iso settings on my cam.
we ate here. last night was the second time i ate here. and last night was a much better experience than the first. probably was shy the first time i was here with the rest last semester. this time. we stuffed ourselves with the cheap good chinese food. i was a happy boy.
after dinner we went over to sernwei's place. he shares it with his sister and three other people. this is him being a gracious host and offering me some wine and several empty bottles of beer. very gracious.
we watched some terminator 2 on tv. and i realised that some scenes were cut from the version we got in singapore years ago. what a gyp. hurrah for late night oz tv.

ok time for names. i can't get away with being lazy for every photo. at the back that's raymond from hongkong, damien, sernwei. then in the middle it's mindy, adrian, qq and yvonne. then in the front you have raymond from singapore and a bum we picked up on the way back.
after the booze and madness, the night ended with me in someone else's jacket and drooling on qq's lap. if you look at 5th photo at the really red person that is allan, you will be looking at the person who crashed into bed way before the night was over. by the way, qq's got one of the ugliest pyjama pants ever. that's why it looks like i'm resting on curtains or a tablecloth.
right. there are tons of other photos. but it's a bitch to load everything up. and i'm sure you don't want to be loading up so many damn photos when you come here. if you ever do.
ok time to do my laundry and do some work today. hurrah for first week of semester 2.

what a mad day it's been today.
in my new room in hall now. it's great cept that i don't have a single drawer. and got a pretty shitty clothes cupboard. so it's quite a mess. but i'll live with it. the flat has an air-conditioner so that's really fantastic cos it's so fucking hot now. and it's strong enough to cool the whole flat with four bedrooms, a dining area and kitchen. it's really very nice. didn't dare to expect much. but it's all good.
feeling very very tired now. after the day. went to friend's house first after arriving in airport. then after that came to hall. then started to unpack a little but was too fucking tired and not in the mood. asininely, friend took my laptop into his house and forgot to take it with us when we left. so i only got my laptop back in the evening when they all went back to their house and came back to hall again. then it was a slow invasion of the flat in hall. everyone came to hang out and looksee. and it was cool. i was pretty happy and crazy today. and living with 3 other people in such close proximity is better than i thought. at least for now.
now i'm just really tired. my back aches. i feel a sore throat coming on. i probably am going to fall sick. there's a ton of stuff that needs to be done. and i have a philosophy lecture at 9 tomorrow morning.
looks like this semester won't let up anytime soon. and i've only been here for half a day.
